VOERTMAN'S SPRAY NOOK

Voertman's had previously attempted to fill their store front nook with abstract murals. Unfortunately, they encountered a recurring issue of their artwork being defaced by graffiti. Recognizing this challenge, I proposed a different approach: instead of battling against the tagging, why not embrace and promote it, considering that our store sold spray paint? To bring this idea to fruition, I took the initiative to contact the city authorities to secure all the necessary permissions. Additionally, I created a set of rules to govern the use of the space and started developing promotional Tiktoks and Reels to generate excitement within the community.

VOERTMAN'S NOOK PROMOTIONS

The TikTok promotional videos and Instagram Reels are what blew up the most in the artist & Denton community. It was reposted and spread instantly. I had multiple people reaching out for interviews along with the local paper, The Denton Record Chronicle. They published a web article about me and the Voertman's Nook, click here to read.

VOERTMAN'S NOOK NOW

The Nook is now constantly changing and is something that has brought the community closer during the difficult times of the pandemic. I moved to Denton during the pandemic and never saw Fry Street in it's prime, the nook has brought new life to Fry Street and Denton.
